For the past three days I've listened to Radiohead and Talking Heads

Almost exclusively. They're so damned good.
I'm really hoping Radiohead hits North American again next summer.

listening to "cross-eyed and painless" right now, with "life during wartime" comin' up next.  talking heads help put me in a pleasant morning mood.  :dancer:

Another summer tour would be amazing, I know they've pretty much got the next album written, but god knows how long they'll be in the studio for.

They've already got confirmed dates in Mexico and South America, so we can hope.

I was brought up on "Stop Making Sense."  I'm sure I'm not remembering this accurately, but I swear my mom listened to talking heads exclusively from "Speaking in Tongues" to "Naked."

I saw Radiohead twice this year.  Fucking amazing.  Words do no justice.  They like to wait years between tours though, unfortunately.

not a big fan of radiohead.

talking heads are still one of the most influential bands ever. "remain in light" ftw!

I was at the Blossom center in OH, then night one of APW, then finally at Camden NJ, where I was in the pit (which definitely takes the cake)

At this very moment it would be Weird Fishes/Arpeggi and Life During War Time, but those are just current favorites. I couldn't pick a true favorite, that's like when someone asks you what your favorite band is.

i saw them twice this summer too. once in camden and at that hell hole in Bristow, VA. ya know, that show that made headlines for how fucked up everything was. i dont want to go into detail just look it up. but yeah, both were amazing.  the bristow one, they played more of their rock from early on, lots of "the bends". in camden they played lots of electronic stuff, lots from "kid a" and "hail to the theif". both were spectacular
