You're purposely taking something as a catalyst for a specific outcome. If you don't want the outcome, why take it?
Of course it's not "real bliss". It's a pill. Bliss isn't a bodily sensation or an accepting/trusting mind-state from a brain full of oxytocin. Bliss is real acceptance, love, self-esteem, awe, reverence... If you feel like an impostor when you roll, then yes, it's because you're lying to yourself when you're on it. You're expecting a chemical to *make you blissful*. Personally, I'm genuinely happy in the first place so I have no issues with ecstasy feeling "fake". I think it's fucking awesome, and I have an amazing time on it, every time.
Maybe you should work on feeling confidently happy in your sober life before you expect a pill to do it for you.

I don't look for happiness in pills I usually only take them at a dance gig or something where I would'nt have gone to normally. So you could say I do it to gain a huge appreciation for dance music and for that feel of oneness that you get in a crowd of buzzers dancing to banging music.
I feel the bliss I get off acid and mushies is real bliss and can leave me glowing for weeks aferwards. They help me realise that life is sacred and to cherish existance.Btw I never struggle with the idea of pills being wrong when I'm on them I have a ball everytime too it's just the comedown and the ensuing depression that makes me feel that way.Although I will still take them I feel anything which results in the crash that I get must be harmful moreso than a lot of other things

If you were responding to me, I just want to say I am a fairly happy person in general, but that point of my life was a REALLY hard time for me. There was no way I could keep up a positive demeanor during those few weeks.

Our subconscious minds have no sense of humor, play no jokes, and cannot tell the difference between reality and an imagined thought or image. What we continually think about will manifest itself in our lives.

Did perpetual happiness in the Garden of Eden maybe get so boring that eating the apple was justified?
