It's really weird. Also they close by themselves unless I try to keep them open. What causes this? It's not all that fun.

When I had a panic attack and had to go to the ER, my hands and feet were tinging so much I couldnt feel anything. Then all the muscles in my arms, hands and legs contracted so much I couldn't walk or open my hands.
The doctor said that it was due to excess co2 due to me hyperventilating. Whether or not it's true, it SUCKS. Every time I'm sitting on the couch and my arm or leg falls asleep I start to panic because it reminds me of that shit.

Just a guess, buildup of lactic acid?

I get this while I'm running or doing a hard c/v exercise. Its mostly when I'm just about to break through that time when I'm first winded, then all the sudden my bodykicks in and I'm in the zone. After that its gone. I don't usually get it afterward except maybe in my feet after I sit down.
I do see how it could be unpleasant if it was a stronger feeling. I kind of like it, its like becoming alive in a way. Exercise and masochism seem to go hand in hand though.
If it seriously bothers you I would consider seeing a doctor. Could have to do with many things: nerves, circulation, nutrition, diabetes even. It is definitely not abnormal though I get it too and its never caused me any harm.
It amazes me, all the things going on in our bodies behind the scenes.

Thanks for your answers! I will speak to my doctor about this. I suspect it might have to do with low blood sugar levels.

Yea, what kind of work outs are you doing? and are you eating something prior (no not right before the work out, but do you have something in your system from maybe an hour or two prior to going to the gym)?

I'm going to say low bloodsugar. What are you eating before and after your workouts? Pre and post workout meals are extremely important. If you ever have questions feel free to ask me man, I'm sort of an expert on the matter
