So my friend has recently offered me some mdma and Im not sure if I should take some. Ive done a little research but mostly Ive come up with what i presume to be warped opinions on the matter. To give you some background on me Ive done LSD about 10ish times and shrooms 4 times never having a bad trip but i cant smoke more then a bowl of the weed I get without having very uncomfortable symptoms (a sort of controlled panic attack).
I guess what Im asking is what are the health risks of mdma? is it, relatively, safe? and is it more mentally like a hallucinogenic experience or like weed? And any other tips for a first timer?
Oh, and im sorry if this is on the wrong board, this one seemed the most appropriate to me

Yes, you should take some. MDMA is fantastic. There's relatively few health risks as long as you don't abuse it. Don't take it if you have a heart condition. Don't take it more than once every 1-3 months. It isn't impossible to have a bad time on it, but it's pretty rare. Absolutely give it a try. It's a completely unique experience and is absolutely one worth having.

Personally I say do it once, and leave it at that, the shit can be bad for you if you do it to much.
I had a period where I did it 3 times a week for 4 months, definately not a smart idea.

Just one example. You CAN have panic attacks and negative emotions on MDMA. It's a simple fact. It really isn't that hard to find someone who has.

what you think would have happened if the guy took acid?
In a normal and healthy person who takes E, you're not gonna have a bad trip.
It doesn't work that way. E multiplies your pleasure receptors (in super-simple terms), even negative things will make you happy.

In some cases from personal experience and the experiences of people I've met... MDMA can sometimes overwhelm the user, and make them feel as if they may die from their heart pumping out of their chest. This causes them to have a bad time.

If you have a bad roll on E because you think you're gonna die from you're heart pumping to fast you need to stay the fuck away from drugs in general,
oh my god.
yes I'm sure if you're in a fucking prison camp being tortured and you pop some E you might have a bad trip,
but if you're responsible and have water present and a cool head you'll be just fine,
I'm talking about the majority, fuck the random exceptions, because they're just that, exceptions.

Thanks for saying that, about the heart, thats exactly the issue i have with weed. Atlleast the pumping not so much the dying
very uncomfortable for me
I think i'll probably end up taking a lower dose knowing that

You keep changing your story. First it's impossible to have a bad time on E. Then it's impossible to have a bad time on E if you're "healthy". Now it's if you have a bad time on E, you just shouldn't do drugs. And for the record, I took both acid and E back when I had depression problems. They helped me get over it. So being depressed really doesn't guarantee you're going to have a bad time at all.

Depressed and having psychological problems are two different things, I'm not a doctor so I can't really get into that to much.
I was implying that you have to be "healthy", have correct set and setting, and be educated on the substance your taking, when I said it's impossible to have a bad roll.

Of course there's always gonna be exceptions, but they can't really be included in the overall majority, because there's something that made them exceptions in the first place, if that makes sense.

I never said that they were common. In fact, I always say it's exceptionally uncommon. But that's no reason to pretend it's impossible.

Well then I'll go ahead and agree with you.
I've rolled nearly 100 times and seen probably 500 other rolls (friends and shit) and I've never ran into a negative roll. Just going off personal experience for the most part.
