I never liked that song,

but I absolutely adore the Beatles, along with many other bands from that era. Kills me I'll never see most of them live.

Lennon also admitted to quitting LSD because of how bad his 'bad' trips really were.

Lennon stuck to the story of this song being written from a drawing his son made.  I dont know if I believe that, but trippy nonetheless.

Listened to Sgt. Pepper when I tripped on Saturday. Pretty cliche but amazing nonetheless. All of their post 1965 albums are perfect to trip to in my opinion. My fave is Abbey Road. She's So Heavy has me scared out of my mind when I am tripping but then Here Comes The Sun. No pun intended.

Yeah man, on my last acid trip i listened to Magical Mystery Tour, just plain awesome.  Blue Jay Way had me freaking out and Your Mother Should Know picked me up, it was rather intense.

I believe it was McCartney who was interviewed circa 2000 about the song Lucy in the Sky and they asked him if it was indeed about drugs or not, and he said something along the lines of "of course it's about drugs, listen to the words" *horrible paraphrasing but you get it*

Nothing beats some Pink Floyd, at least for me anyway, they're so fucking unique it blows my mind.

I do remember hearing McCartney say something along those lines.  However, Lennon never admitted to it being about drugs.

I believe it is about drugs, sure.  Who wouldnt with the lyrics it has.  Im just throwing some useless knowledge out there is all, haha.

When it comes to Pink Floyd, Astronomy Domine has got to be one of the most intense songs I've ever heard. DSTM has a place in my heart as well though,

Saw the entire album of Dark Side of the moon in concert on LSD.  I couldn't speak because of the emotion and amazement.

Performed by Pink Floyd?

That would literally blow me the fuck away,

About a generation too early for me unfortunately.

I also heard that Lennon's son drew a picture of a girl in his class and drew her with kaleidescope eyes.

I saw them in OH

See when a show is coming up near you http://www.floydtribute.com/

I don't think I got the most outta LSD, or as much as I should have.  Me and my buddy split a 10 strip, and we gave a couple hits out, I prob ate 3-4.  At 1st I thought it was cool, everything was funny etc.

1 of the craziest moments was driving in a car at night in the backseat, in the city w/ lights everywhere outside.  I literally felt like the kid was going 1000 mph, it was crazy.  Once I actually looked at the speedometer and saw he was going less than 30, it really blew my mind.

Anyways we went to a party w/ a ton of ppl, and I just didn't feel right.  Normally I'm outgoing, but that night I would have been better off just chilling out.  I had the coolest experiences either in the bathroom by myself, or in a room w/ a couple ppl.  But the party defintiely killed it.

Then afterwards late night really sucked.  The whole trying to sleep, and thinking "am i gonna feel normal again??" type shit.  IT basically made me not wanna do it again.  And I haven't since [except for the next night when we took a hit while completely drunk which doesn't count] hahah.

Oh man, do you think those cover band performances are actually worth going to? (Of course you do because of how you described them)

For some reason I get the feeling that their sort of a disgrace to the real bands. I'll definately think about it though if they're as good as you said they are!

I can never get over what it would be like to see the real band live, oh well :frown:

yes this is the best in the country man, during great gig in the sky i cried cuz it was so beautiful, the woman sounds THE EXACT same as the original woman.

All the sounds are the EXACT same, except for the vocals, and even they are so fucking similar (especially great gig in the sky woman literally can't tell a difference)
