So I got a random d/t the other week... I always keep a pack of urine luck with a heat pad on it in my pocket because i smoke the ganja... well on that particular day, i had to use a little bit smaller heat pad. Got called in for a random d/t, the tester was ex military or some shit, sniffed it and said pour it out. Watched me piss next time, and I failed.
What really sucks is that my father was and is an icon to the company (union electrical contractor), and he helped get me in the union. They sent me out of the gate, and had someone bring my tools out to me and i left. That was it. I kinda feel like shit.

Get a medical card if you are in one of the states with medicinal laws, or just smoke on occasion. People who smoke weed fuck up on occasion whether they notice or not. I don't want someone to wire my building and have it catch on fire later.
You probably were good at your job, but you got hit with a statistic. Go to rehab and after completetion go back to your job and tell the effort you are making to work for that wonderful company.

well it was at a rather large refinery, they have kinda strict policies there... I'm sure in this world we live in today i wouldnt stand a chance trying to take any legal action against it.
It was pretty fucked up though, the guys standing behind me in this little bathroom, im like eh weird... They made me drink 2 bottles of water so i had to piss like a motherfucker, but then i glance to my right and the dudes right next to me looking over my shoulder at my dick, pissing wasnt possible, so i was like this aint gonna work after a few min. A few guys outside were laughing and shit, so they take me back out to the waiting room and give me more water, and like 30 minutes later i said im about to piss my pants and he let me piss, but i had to leave the bathroom door wide open while he stood outside.
Right after he made me pour out my unrine luck(synthetic urine to those not familiar), my supervisor was called in to the drug testing trailer, right about then i knew it was over. Shitty experience.
Kinda funny how guys with prescriptions just get a laugh out loud and a check mark on the paperwork and all is well, they get to go back to work the next day and not just straight kicked out of the whole premesis/career/life etc. I figure oxycontin/xanax/even strong antibiotics would be a lot bigger concern and threat in a work environment than some guy smokin buds on the weekend, but i guess as long as some overpaid pharmaceutical industry puppet says yeah pop these its ok. Maybe its just me lol, idk.

yeah, unions are usually pretty good with that kinda shit, put you through outpatient and shit just so you can keep your job. check with the union steward.

My buddy is a second year IBEW apprentice. He smokes bud every fucking day. I keep telling him to lay off and get smart but he won't listen. He's going to get popped and his wife will absolutely murder him.

I was a first year... I actually stopped toking for a while but then my bitch ass girlfriend brought all her pothead friends around and begged be to blaze so i finally did. Yeah i beat a couple drugs tests, but in the end i just got cocky i guess and got what i had coming. They used to just give you a warning the first time you fail, but they adopted a new policy where you basically get sodomized if you fuck up. Sooner or later everyones gonna be drug testing, its only a matter of time.

i dont know if someone already said this, but until obama takes office, a med card doesn't mean shit. you'll still get fired and you can't sue. obama has planned to change this along with fed laws on med marijuana though.
you did NOTHING wrong. they invaded your privacy. don't feel like shit. You live in a country with draconian drug laws.
