Drug 'gangster' gets hit with $4M bail

Shaun Knight, 34, of Bostwick Avenue, was arrested on racketeering and conspiracy charges and is being held in Union County on a $4 million cash only bail, said Union County Prosecutor Theodore J. Romankow.
The reputed Bloods street gang member has already served two prison terms for weapons offenses and bail jumping in Hudson County and was to be sentenced today in Jersey City for drug possession within 1,000 feet of a school, officials said.
Knight will miss that hearing as a result of his arrest in Operation Bloodline, spearheaded by the Union County Prosecutor's Office and the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Joel and Sadiel Gonzalez, of Elizabeth, both alleged Bloods members, were the main targets of the probe that is believed to have taken down a ring that distributed up to a kilo of heroin per week in Elizabeth, Newark and Jersey City, Romankow said.
The brothers bought heroin wholesale, repackaged it, and made $42,500 to $78,500 in profits every week, Romankow said.
Items seized in the raids included more than 32 grams of heroin, a sawed off shotgun, four other firearms, several thousand dollars, and five vehicles, including a BMW and Range Rover, officials said.
Hudson County Prosecutor Edward DeFazio said Hudson County Superior Court will send a writ to its counterpart in Union County seeking a date for Knight to be produced for sentencing in Hudson County, where he faces three to five years in prison.
He faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted on the Union County charges.

Thats nuts, that is the number one reason that I never take drugs near a school. It's just not worth it if you get caught. He had multiple offenses but still...

So what would you do if you lived next to a school? Think they'ed freak out if i took a measuring tape out to see what my distance is? And do you measure from the school, or property line?
and shit, some people make in a year what they profited in a week! Im in the wrong business!
