Yeah, hippies basically suck. At one point in my life, I definitely would have said otherwise, but at that point I was 15 years old and tripping on one substance or another every 5 days or so. It's a very naive outlook, and aesthetically it is shit. I mean, in 1967 it would have been kind of rad, but by 1969 it wasn't even cool anymore. It works if you have a huge ego, no taste, and either no aspirations or no real problems. I still respect some hippy ideology, like trying to be as positive as possible, but for the most part they are lame as hell.

Yeah, goddamn hippies. I'm just more sick of the bloody myths that the family's extended family spreads about this drug. Pink fluff, amber, gold, lavender and all that baloney. And of course, you can't question the family because the know. They're the authority and it doesn't matter if they haven't bothered actually testing whether or not their mumbo jumbo is true. It looks like fluff, so it's 50% pure and that's why it feels more speedy. Plus all this shit about enlightenment and yeah, if we dropped acid in the water supply, war would end. I think LSD is fantastic, but the shit I hear about it from hippies and the family's extended family makes me sick - treating LSD like a cure-all for everything. And to think that this thumbprint notion is something people aspire to do: a thumbprint. It's just mumbo jumbo. There's no point in it. Or the baloney they spread about how you can tell what's in it just by taking it - even though they've never established what else is in it, if anything. Fuck hippies. Fuck the family. LSD is great, but it's not what those retards make it out to be.
It's just a psychedelic drug. It's a great drug and everything and has all the benefits that a drug should have without many risks and it's beautiful and everything, but it's still just a drug. I know people don't like it when I say that, but that's what I think. Some people here despise alcohol, but in places, alcohol is still considered sort of sacramental.

a controlled enviorment for people to trip where they were monitered, and they did all kinds of profound psycological stuff,like strobe lights tuned to the beta frequency of your brain to literally synthesize creativity from your creative side of your brain. then they drive you home and put you to bed with a glass of milk and a coookie.

Lets be honest there are no hippies anymore, they are to stoned to get themselves organized. hippies of the past stood for something and believed it so much that they influenced many of the changes we take for granted. anyone who just sits around taking drugs and wastes life is not a hippie. Hippies have a bad rap these days because they should, most but not all of the hippies of the past sold out or were only doing it because they saw it as a passing craze. the hippies that actually went out and did shit moved on to better things. So what if acid has the rap of a hippie drug. if it wasn't for the hippies that drug would never have gone mainstream. i love acid. i love pot. i'm not a hippie, i'm too stoned to get myself organized.

it doesnt take hippies to create demand for a drug with desireable effects.
and its a big deal that it is a hippie drug because it alienates those who would benefit but do not try for fear of having to do with hippiness and losing their mind. so many people i know will do shrooms and not acid.......
and if hippies have a bad rap, shouldnt we break the association of the greatest drug i have ever tried (and probably many others) from this negative association?

If people can't get passed a prejudice or a stereotype to try a drug that they may or may not like is their choice. I make my choices too. besides that just means more acid for those who do enjoy it. besides i've always thought that those with closed minds should stay indoors, where they won't have to be in the way of people who choose to wander.
