In response to an angry message from a forum member, I am deleting old posts with outdated information. As always, my only goal has been to raise awareness of clinical psychedelic research and to share information I thought members would appreciate having. Thank you for welcoming me into this mycelial community.

Good luck. A positive psilocybin experience could most certainly do wonders for someone in that predicament.
I think that more studies should be done though, and available to more people. It could be helpful to a lot of people for a lot of different conditions.

Awesome...at last..a schedule one that doesnt even belong in the schedule one category..I mean seriously come on,who here thinks that Psilocybin is addictive? Exactly..its not,so why is it a schedule one? Well,I know, because it has "no accepted medical use" in the US...but that is changing now, thank GOD! Peace PF
P.S.-and after it is proven that psilocybin does actually have a medical use then im sure that they will find some way to still maintain it as a schedule one so noone can use or experiment with it... fukin fda,us government and politicians..theyre all crooked pa,peace

Psilocybin is not schedule I because its addictive or dangerous. But because it de-programs people of institutional and governmental values passed down through an increasingly centralized media, and actually allows people to 'wake up' or become conscious of some of the scams being run by late modernism and capitalism.

Psilocybin has to be amongst one of the most non-addictive "drugs" I have ever used.

The link for more information is dead. Do a study like Harvard did where it was just to see if it was a spiritual or religious experience for those in the study and I'll be on my way.
Watching the whole Nixon story when his administration came up with the schedules for drugs in the United States I think Cognitive_Shift has it right. It amazes me how fast that whole movement died after it was made illegal.
I also like how Huxley wrote about what I think could fit today for those with their eyes open. This was on his Wiki page. On psychological totalitarianism (1959): "And it seems to me perfectly in the cards that there will be within the next generation or so a pharmacological method of making people love their servitude, and producing ... a kind of painless concentration camp for entire societies, so that people will in fact have their liberties taken away from them but will rather enjoy it, because they will be distracted from any desire to rebel by propaganda, brainwashing, or brainwashing enhanced by pharmacological methods."

2. a final or conclusive act
Long live the Shroomery and I'm done with it.

I wonder how the experience produced by synthetic Psilocybin would compare to traditional Psilocybin experiences through mushrooms.

I can't speak from experience, but the participants in the study who have tried both natural and synthetic psilocybin report that the synth stuff is milder on the body with fewer adverse effects, such as nausea. There seem to be fewer comments about open-eyed visuals, too. No one has commented on seeing "tracers" or similar visual effects.
From what I've observed, there seems to be less anxiousness during the coming on phase, but we take steps to help participants feel grounded and comfortable before we begin each session.
It's important to remember that we're not giving super high doses, either . . . about 0.2 mg/kg.

Thanks for putting in your time and energy into these studies Dan4th! I think the studies that help terminally ill patients cope with the inevitability of death are great! I hope your group is very successful in recruiting and carrying out more of these evaluations. Thanks!

Can someone tell me what this dose is equal to if taken in the form of mushrooms rather than just the extracted actives....
