Pistons - Nuggets trade

So I just saw on ESPN that a trade with Detroit sending Billups and McDyess and receiving Iverson is in the works.
As a Pistons fan, I have no idea what to think about this. I love Billups b/c he brought a championship, but Detroit has needed a big time scorer for year.
Honestly, I'm torn. What do you guys think?

I was hoping to get here first!!
Anyway, I really thought they'd make one last run with this group in MoTown. I'm not sure what the contract situations are, I know AI will expire after this year, but being here in Denver, I'm all for it. The nuggets need a stopper since they traded Camby, and if, big IF, Melo is ever going to become a true winner, he needs a chance for Denver to be HIS team. That was not going to happen will AI around . As a nuggets fan, I'm pumped. This will bring experience and a toughness to the Nugs. It will also revitalize the fan base after we seemingly gave Marcus Camby away. Maybe this trade was in the works the whole time.
For Detroit, I'm not educated on what they have to make a call. But they'll have a TON of cap space after this year.

Iverson and Rasheed expire at the end of this year, so they can make a run for a big time free agent. Also, it seems that all of Detroit and especially Dumars has been really high on Rodney Stuckey, and for good reason.

Wow, that's gonna be what, almost 40 mil or more between them?
You know what the contract issue is with the guys Denver picked up?

Dumars has wanted Iverson for ages. I think its a very good move for Detriot. Easily locks them into the #2 spot in the East as if that was ever up for question
I root for anyone who has a chance to beat Boston
I wish my Cavs would make a big move. We are still waiting to see what Mo Williams can bring to the table

The "again" of mine came off rude, sorry bout that. I've seen a few people ask and I wasn't involved in the thread so I never heard.
That look on her face and the whole shot is wild.

Iverson was making 20 mil a year, Chauncy is making 12 mil a year. Nuggets are going to buy out McDyess contract. Which is a great thing, fucking douchebag is washed up and has metal for knees.
Quote:
Billups is in the second year of a four-season contract worth a guaranteed $46 million, and includes a $14 million team option for a fifth year.
Quote:
"It looks like McDyess won't be playing for the Nuggets," said Benjamin Hochman, the Denver Nuggets beat writer for our partners at the Denver Post. "The Nuggets will probably buy out his contract and he might end up re-signing with the Detroit Pistons."

I still think we need a big man to replace Camby.

Yes, Melo and Iverson were the same player. Billups is a true point guard that will run the show and give the ball to Melo and K-Mart.
Saves 8 mil too.

Nuggets might be able to win a playoff series now. But as was already said, they needs a big man.

The best thing about that trade for Detroit is expiring contracts.

Yeah, but I feel good for what this is going to do for the nuggets too. If nothing else, if Melo can't step it up to that final level, the Nugs can get something out of him and move on. He has talent and deserves a chance to be the main guy.
