Does tripping ever get old?

Ive tripped on mushrooms five times in my life now (fifth was last night) and it doesnt seem to be getting "old" at all. Im thinking I might do it a bit more often while I can, there seems to be a lot available in my area this year for some reason. Do you think the mushroom experience could ever get old, like if I did them once a month for a few months? How many times have you guys tripped?

Uhhhh... that's kind of hard to say exactly... especially considering all the differtent trips and substances. Out of LSA, LSD, mushrooms, LSD, DPT, 2C-I, 2C-E, salvia (eww), DMT, MDMA, DXM... we're probably talking close to 200 trips...
Started like 8 years ago and it just seems to be a part of my life now. Tripping is very familiar and sacred in a way to me. It has become a part of my soul. The endlessness that exists just... I will never be able to "unexperience" the things I have experienced. And to answer your question, yes trips can definitely get old. The key is NOT to let that happen. It's terrible when something to awe-inspiring and wonderful becomes commonplace.
During periods when I tripped frequently (namely on LSD, because of the different types of crystal involved) I started really "questioning" my devotion and belief in the power of psychedelics and feeling like they really werent as special as I once thought they were back when I used to have mindblowing, beautiful, nirvana like trips of total clarity of mind and crystal clear euphoria. Just feeling on top of the world and the master of your domain.
Last night I took a good amount of some CLEEEAN liquid, and it was pure goodness. All mind stimulation, pure thought and trippiness.
The key is to limit yourself, but if you're anything like me, you WILL go through a period where you abuse psychedelics for a little bit... they're just that awesome.

Hope this made sense, i indulged in a lil xanax

hmm i have only been tripping for 4 years tho i was labeled to be on drugs before i ever took them cause my personality. LSD i find to be not that great vs. mushrooms. Im not saying its not an awesome thing it just lacks a certain touch.
any who i miss my ayahuasca days and p torch days. then slightly the DXM days. most of all the my predrugs premilitary school (which lead to depression) no matter how many drugs i take ill never be able to go back to those days of full out freedom of my personality, i was way funnier and free also very in shape.
as for the thing about being experienced yeah that takes a huge toll i feel way to experienced alot of things to be any more. Its neat tho people when they see me see me as not who i am at the moment they see the years of experience over all that stuff. even if im dressed in crazy clothes.
i really wanna re do my outward dress and appearance so i actually look like what people see in me rather then looking like the outer most boarder of it that makes you question alot of things.
something about my past , kinda my dark ages when i became depressed i wore a uniform, wore high rank and was very high speed so they say, shoes i would polish so fine that they were like mirrors, i had a British Sergeant major tell me they were the best he ever saw and wanted tips.
probally the best infulences in my life were when i was friends with a history professor.
any who. stuff kinda does get old until you reinvent it and do the same drug in a totally differnt way you cant imagine.

It's sort of like saying "Does [a particular food] ever get boring?". Yes, if eaten too frequently, but if you haven't eaten it in years, then when you do it'll likely be a lot like the first time.
Speaking from personal experience, I hadn't taken mdma in 8 years, and when I took it after such a break it was even more profound than the first time. But I'm sure you don't have to wait 8 years for it to be like the first time, however generally speaking the longer the wait in-between sessions the more profound they are (because you have had time to forget what it felt like).

I always thought the fact that you can't really OD on psychedelics would prevent tripping getting old. Cause you could just go higher and higher and higher. I could imagine the same dosage becoming boring, only because of it becoming common place. I'm sure all the amazing aspects of the trip would still be there, but the tripper would be too 'bored' to delve into them. From my experience, upping the dosage of drugs can sometimes make the experience feel like a completely difference substance.

Does anything ever get old? or are we the ones that get old? Over time, we change, and so over time, we develop new things for the acid trip to bring out and show us. but if we just take acid a lot then we exhaust all that it can do to our brains, and we just go into an 'altered state' (ive never taken enough acid for it to get old or to not affect me, but this seems to be the way it happens to ppl who report it)

if done in moderation, no.
Why?
I think that's because of set and setting.... the possibilities of set and setting are infinite, when u use it everytime u usually may change setting, but not set.
U must give ur self time to change your mind a little bit.
And believe that the possibilities are infinite.

I definitely understand what you guys are saying. But even if I (hypothetically of course, I obviously don't plan on doing this) took shrooms every three days for the next year, I couldn't see it ever not being mind blowing. Just listening to different music or exploring different parts of my neighborhood under the influence, I can't imagine it getting old.
I'm definitely considering making it a monthly or bi-monthly thing if possible.

unless you want to dabble in low doses - i'd say you're either asking for trouble, or wasting your time. shrooms are not habit forming - you'll probably learn that pretty quick

ive only tripped 5 times as well but i can imagine trippin gettin old for someone who's been trippin for years; specially if they begin a family or just happen to start a new life.
i don't see myself trippin forever because trippin is just a part of my life and not something i have the need to do, but hey, who really knows huh?

I've tripped around 10 - 15 times now in the last 10 months and have found every time to be different and exciting in their own right most have been on shrooms cause acid is dry as. but i can't see how it can get boring maybe if you did it every day
