PE Monotub started 10/17 with pics

Well here goes, I am taking the dive to switch from straight rye as a sub.  I spawned 4 quarts of rye to 16 quarts of coir/verm/coffee in a 96 quart sterilite container.  I can't believe all the growth in only 2 days.  This wouldn't be possible if it weren't for all of the awesome shroomerites on here. Thank you guys

I think coir works alot better than poo. Its seems to colonize quicker. How many inches is your sub? Looks good though.

I use coir, steer manure, coffee, and straw. Great sub. I also used worm castings this time instead of steer manure. Let's see if there is gonna be a difference.

no problem, I will keep the pics posted, and up to date.  Like I said it's only 2 days into colonizing.  I followed large_dose 's bulk coir prep.  So there was 2 quarts of verm, 2 quarts of coffee, 2 bricks of coir.  In total I got about 5 gallons of bulk sub.  It is between 4 and 5 inches deep.  I am so f*ckin excited!!  This is the easiest grow I've tried thus far.  If contams stay away, I'm home free!

Any updates with your grow?

I just started my first monotub, also of PE, around the same time you did.

Used rye spawned to Hpoo/straw/verm, fully colonized in about 9 days, cased two days ago.

Your setup looks great so far, excited to see how it works out!  :grin:
