 How to sterilize outdoor grow?

Ok, so you guys have taught me everything I know about shrooms. I grew indoors for a while and this summer decided to try it outdoors. Well, it worked great, the season is now over and I have a shitload of shrooms thanks to you fellas. My only question is this - should I bake them in the oven to kill any insect and parasite eggs/larvae? Since this was an outdoor grow I had my share of problems with bugs and shit. I dont want me or my friends to get tapeworm or some shit because of the shrooms. I read somewhere to bake all outdoor shrooms for 15 min at 180 deg. But that was for gourmet shrooms... will I destroy the psychoactive components by baking these? If so, what do you guys do to sterilize your outdoor grows?

I tried baking...didn't work for me. So I went and bought a food dehydrator at Wal-Mart. It'll get your shroomies cracker dry.
Also, with my outdoor shrooms, I always check the stems and caps for worm holes and such. If there's a hole, I break the shroom open and see if there's anything inside. If I found something, like a maggot, I'd throw it out. Simple as that.

I build a nice little drier and all mine are dry already. I don't plan on drying them in the over, just killing all the nasty shit. A lot of the shrooms had holes in the stems, like you said, but I ain't tossin' that shit cuz there were a lot of those. I know they bake gourmet ones, I'm just wondering if that 20 mins in the oven will destroy the psylociben or not. If yeah then what's a good method? Anyone try soaking this shit in alcohol and making a tincture or something?

If you don't want to have adverse throw away mushrooms that look suspect. If something ate through your mushroom there is a good chance it left something behind. Excretement, bacteria, spores, you name it something bad is going to be in there.
If you have no problem being anywhere from a little sick for a couple of days to dead go ahead and eat them up, I wouldn't eat anything I didn't trust personally though and I don't trust excretement or bacteria, some spores are pretty cool though!
Baking them would probably reduce potency and might not necessarily clear all the problems up.
Tincture is kind of a novel idea, psilos are water soluable which makes it entirely possible. I just haven't heard of it specifically, but you can make tea so why not?

Just dry outdoor mushrooms and you'll be fine.

If you bake them at 180 I think you'll definitely decrease the potency

fan dry for a day and then i put damp rid in a big round bowl put a papper plate on that put the shrooms on that plate and put the lid on the bowl. another day thats all there is to it.

Dude, once you dry the shrooms, if there were any maggots in them they would either run away or (most likely) shrivel up and die. All they are is protein. Once they are dry, make a tea out of them with ginseng to clean them a bit. Yummy.
By the way, what species did you use and what Tek did you use for inoculation? I am curious as I might do it this summer with some P Subbs.

.. Why would you bake mushrooms unless it was part of a food dish? 
Just use a fan to dry them or buy a dehydrator...

Do you have any idea how much dead bacteria/skin/dirt/bugs are in what you normally eat in any given day? Unless you were growing your shrooms in Chernobyl you will be fine. They probably have less dangerous contaminates in/on them than your local grocery store pesticide saturated vegetables.

Ok, cool thanks all. I have enough to try the methanol extraction from erowid, so I'll give that a shot.
I used the PF tek and then cut up and threw the cakes into 2 plastic bins outside under a pine tree. Rest is like Moe's tek.
