Ok so i want to make sure my email isn't being accessed by a 3rd party how should i go about this.
Should I send an enticing email with a link that connects to a none public url that logs access?
Other ideas please???

Change your password, make it strong. numbers, symbols, etc.

boom gots it right! at least 8 characters long, 10 is better. 2 numbers, 2 symbols, 2 capital letters, as long as you have that, you have a 128bit encrypted password.. also i would think about using a secure e-mail system, there out there.. google under encrypted e-mail host.
i once tried to crack my own password with a brute force attack and in the ETA box it said 'estimated time til password retrieved: 11 years..
of course, if your e-mail itself isnt encrypted, that has possibilities of exploitation, but i would only be concerned with that if police or national agencies had there eye on you. remember, big brother is watching you

i want to log all ip's that access my email, or every access attempt, i have a strong email, encryption plus other country provider plus pgp(think thats what its called).
I want to run the extra secuity, how do i set this up.
Email server? Or the url.. or private forum were all emails take place log all users to forum there ip plus screen name, if screen name doesn't match ip log error? Think bottle neck all connections...
I dunno just need full poof ideas..

It's the repetition and the end to end transmission that is the problem - cryptography is the solution.

gmails connections are encrypted (through https or using imap with ssl. There is also a link at the bottom that give you your sign in details.

Heres mine for example...
The best bet though is changing your password. Unless your worried about the authorities your giving yourself way to much credit... no one else finds your email that interesting. Changing your password once to something even reasonably secure will keep your <not sure what word to use here but if their going through your mail not friends, girlfriend maybe> If it's parents your worried about then you need to look for softwares like Specter 360 or turn to useing your phone or another PC to read your email.

Put a keylogger on your computer. When you're away from your computer, if anyone gets on, all of their keystrokes will be recorded and you'll know that someone has been on your machine.
Or if you think someone is accessing your computer remotely do what the others have said.

I want something that tells me if my emails have been read, i want it to log IP's that access my email. Im thinking through something like outlook.
