I actually enjoy several songs from the band Creed. Yeah, I know they're incredibly derivative of Pearl Jam and Alice in Chains and the whole Jesus thing is kind of annoying but I find a few of their songs to be incredibly catchy. This must be the ultimate guilty pleasure.
That feels better.

Catchy is what makes music pop. There's no need to feel ashamed of being attracted to catchy music.
The most open-minded people can listen to just about anything, despite cultural and social conditioning.
Be proud of yourself, for keeping an open mind.
P.S. Creed sucks ass.  But I did like "My Own Prison" when it first came out. It's all down hill from there.

I find these backlashes against once popular bands fascinating. It becomes cool at first to like them and then hip later down the road to say you hate them.

Well, there is some merit to it. A lot of people are posers and just hate on them because it's cool to, but the root of the shift comes from people who recognize an actual change in the quality of their music. Success changes people, and it often takes some of the soul out of their work. Not always, but often.

Yeah, Creed has always sucked. Don't try to justify your shitty taste in music by saying people backlashed against a band.

I fuckin love def leppard. hard. I hear them rocking and tune everything else out. I love their music, I love thier cheesy 80's style. They opened the new season of NHL last week or whenever and I was glued to the television watching thier performance.
Def leppard rulez.
