 Open mindedness..

Define what an open minded person is to you and maybe why people are attracted to it? Someone asked me today what i like in the opposite sex and open mindedness came to mind, but i cant really put in it to words what i mean by it. so im just curious to see what you folks have to say

when i think of someone with an open mind, i think of some one who is willing to try everything, and be able to connect with people about differant things.
ok..
think of a horse..
you put blinds on it it can only see forward.
take them off and it can see in a wider pattern.
thats how i see it

to me, a person who is quick to judge, stands firmly with their own beliefs (not necessarily religious), and unwilling to try new things or step outside their comfort zone is somebody with a closed mind.
with open-mindedness, it also helps to be empathetic so you can see things from another perspective more easily.
