Mushrooms for fuel?
    #9064795 - 10/11/08 08:57 PM (1 month, 11 days ago)

Here is a link to an article about how an enzyme in mushrooms can be used for fuel...

http://cleantechnica.com/2008/10/09/mushroom-enzyme-could-make-clean-fuel-cells/

Also I have never seen mushrooms quite like the ones pictured, I assume those are real?

Enjoy

I doubt that they would be referring to magic mushrooms, probably just some other edibles.

in reference to the article, why not start employing various species of fungal colonies to decompose/recycle those heavy metals trashed from current batteries.  paul stamets has shown that even common fungi such as oyster mushrooms are capable of breaking down and thriving off of heavy-metal and petrolium-contaminated substrates

do you realize how many mushrooms could be grown on an acre of enclosed space?  do you realize how cheap that would be compared to an acre of say corn or wheat, to which there are millions of acres in production?
