ok so after I case and moistened the casing properly, do I remember correctly that stopping misting is part of the pinning process, I mean mist less after moistening the casing once at the start, and then don't mist as part of the pinning initiation strategy...

g'nite. so the question is not about during pinning which I've just read, could cause aborts, but the period prior to pinning as a component of pinning initiation, cessation of misting, so that more transpiration takes place (water evaporating due to mycelial aerobics ... =] ? would this redution in moisture content due ti transpiration, be a component in natural pinning sequence / mode / manner of activation? Also I realised that for spores to travel, dry air is best coz if they get stuck to water particles in the air from moisture, they are more than likely to get weighed down like a cluster molecule and travel less; so I think dry air and spores are made to survive, through dryness - and dryness is their mode of airborn travel, in stark contrast to their domestic 'amphibeality...'I mean if a mushroom's gills are literally wet with water, would the spores fall off? perhaps once the water dries off, too. am I right? i mean, water makes the spores get stuck, according to my knowledge, i mean i grow in a wet raincoat, honestly... no hepa or glovebox. works a charmfor me... but. the thing about spore travel i believe is dryness, as opposed to wetness in the domestic situation of the fungi. but sorry thats way off from the point i was asking about transpiration, misting during pre pinning/ casing run. I mean incubate for 3 days after heavy misting just to moisten, and then stop misting altogether, mostly, or a lil, but only when NECESSARY, when one can see its goin dry?
i mean does this affect pinning initiation. the prepin misting sequence?
