Man's Client Has Been Arrested

WEST HARTFORD, Conn. -- A 28-year-old man who became ill after eating cake at a residence on Green Brier Drive was found to have been laced with drugs.
Police said they responded to a call Thursday morning after a real estate agent reported he’d become ill after eating some cake at the home of one of his clients, Nancy Glass.
After returning to work at ERA Realty, the man said he became ill and called for help. He said he his blood pressure had risen and his pulse increased.
The man’s condition required that he be transported to St. Francis Hospital, where he’s listed in stable condition.
Police said an investigation determined that the cake was intentionally laced with an unknown substance, which caused the incident.
Glass said she had put marijuana in the cake.
Glass, 51, has been charged with second-degree assault, second-degree reckless endangerment and tampering with evidence. She has been held on a $50,000 bond.
Police said the case is under investigation

Reminds me of when I was a teenager and I baked some chocolate brownie hash cakes for a week's holiday with a friend in France. While I was away my mother, who's never smoked dope in her life, ate the crumbs left in the cake tin. Coming back from shopping she though she was either going insane or seriously ill. My brother took her to hospital and in the waiting room he asked if she'd eaten anything. Just some cake crumbs... He figured out what must have happened, they went home and she immediately felt much better. This is a true story which is retold at family gatherings many years later, to my great embarrassment.

as a real estate agent i would have loved some space cakes on my job. selling someones home can be a pain. like for open houses when no one comes. all you do is just sit there in someone elses home and wait all day for a customer to come.
