Biotransformation of indole derivatives by mycelial cultures.
    #8996328 - 09/27/08 11:29 PM (1 month, 25 days ago)

Alarcón J, Cid E, Lillo L, Céspedesa C, Aguila S, Alderete JB.  Biotransformation of indole derivatives by mycelial cultures.  Z Naturforsch [C].  2008 Jan-Feb;63(1-2):82-4.
Biotransformation of tryptophan to tryptamine and 3-methyl-indole by Psilocybe coprophila was performed. On the other hand, Aspergillus niger was able to transform tryptophan to 5-hydroxy-tryptophan. P. coprophila biotransformed 5-hydroxy-tryptophan to 5-hydroxytryptamine. These results prove once more that fungi are good tools to establish hydroxyindole derivatives.

Sounds neat.
Wish I had access.

It's only a 2 pages document.Not much information.

Good and 'cheap' document source in Germany:

Come on man.....I expect better from you:)

Your welcome for the ratings gift too brother.

You earned it.

Flame war or how should anyone interpret this?

I have read that document, though i am personally interested in triptanes.
Maybe someone finds a way to produce cheap triptanes who is not associated with one of the big pharmacy companies which make billions with their products.

 on most of the threads dealing with potency.

This particular paper was published in 2008, so it has probably never been discussed.
