ive been making my refrieds at home lately too

get a crockpot and dried beans, place as many beans as u wanna cook in the crock and fill til water is an inch over the top of the beans, let sit overnight. by morning the beans should be well soaked and possibly starting to split and sprout.
this is good! it actually acivates an enzyme that not only produces better nutrition, but reduces gas!
turn the crockpot on low and let it sit til the beans are done, check on them every few hours til they are cooked.
then transfer everything, beans and water, into a food processor and chop up really well, leaving some chunks but having a mostly goop consistency.
fry some onions and garlic lightly in a pan, and then stir in the beans and cook them, stirring often.

its really ez, and really good.
add some red pepper flakes for a good kick!

mmmm looks awesome!

Another way to diminish gastrointestinal discomfort is by using Epazote with your beans. It's an herb grown in mexico and I think the middle east?

eight to fifteen dollars?! Do you live in a place not densely concentrated with Mexicans? You can buy a can for like three dollars around here, just find stores that mainly only Mexicans go to and you might find it cheaper.

im referring to the link by Asric, the can he featured was 8$ and some other cans of it on that site are like 15$...

and i cant find it anywhere around this place, stores here do not carry it.

ill just go ask some farmers if they have any, corn is just starting to cobb right now.
