We've all heard or read about the economy lately. I decided to say FUCK IT to the reassuring evening news and FUCK IT to the financial world
I'm CASHING OUT !!!
Look at that money is debt video. The banks only have money for like a few percent of their customers. If the system goes down you'll all be fucked. Not me tho.
I went to the bank and withdrew the not immediately needed money out of my bank accounts - the money that was basically just sitting there.
I'm no rockefeller. It was a small sum of money. Guess that happened?
They had me wait for 10 minutes to get the money. Wait? I never had to wait before. Then I got the money. Guess! I got a small stack of USED BILLS. My bank always gave me unused bills fresh from the Fed. Always! For years! Now, with my SMALL sum of money, I got paid in USED BILLS from the money THAT HAD BEEN DEPOSITED TODAY.
Fuck that shit we're going down!!! They are running out already!!!

You $$$ won't help you if the system goes down no matter if its in your pocket or your bank.
The system won't go down though - the elite like staying in power and having us work 9-5 while they sit there playing strategy games with the world and having their asses wiped by servants. They know how to keep the system going that is what they do.
If you really think its gonna happen I'd invest in a book on survival, when the riots hit there will be people looting and shooting everywhere - the army will come in and shoot whoever they want.
Best thing you can do is get into the middle of no-where and escape civilisation. You'll need weapons and survival skills like foraging etc.
Alternatively stock a shit load of weaponry and form the most brutal militia when the system crashes.

Wow, another "The world is ending thread". How original.
In 1530 the population of London was 50,000. So yes, even almost 500 years ago people were NOT practicing subsistence farming and were involved in a service economy.
Please, take note that electricity wasn't in use, and modern plumbing was unavailable.
Bottom line: Even in the complete absence of modern amenities, people lived in societies, had buildings, city streets etc. This was 500 years ago.
What on earth would cause a society to revert to standards of living lower than those in place centuries ago? All you idiots act like we'll be running around in caves wearing loin cloths and fighting dinosaurs. Use some common sense.
I'm just glad we have such nice things as forums. In two years i'm going to bump every single thread titled "World ECONOMY is doomed!" and laugh at you.

How many cities were that large back then though. It would be nearly impossible to provide food for are current population without modern technology. Also think about the location of are cities now. Places in the desert like Dubai for example. I don't really think things will collapse to a serious extent but if they did millions would die. As for of pulling money out of the bank. Unless you are buying useful items with it there is no point. If the economy collapses and money is not worth anything it won't matter if its in your pocket or the bank it will still not be worth anything.

The FDIC insures up to 100,000 dollars. If you don't have that in the bank, you're guaranteed to get up to that amount if you decide to withdraw. It might take a minute for the FED to send them more monies (physical), but You will get up to that amount, I'm sure.
It might even raise to $250,000 b/c of the recent b.s. bill that passed.

Is that on the rez? I didn't realize that style of building was still being used. I don't make it to the rez much though. I'm to white and the Navajo's seem to discriminate furiously.

Do you think it takes psychic powers to realize that society will not revert to a way of life (subsistence farming) that hasn't been practiced for hundreds of years? I think I'd call that "basic intelligence", not psychic powers.
