 FC FAE idea.

ok so i was at work and i started to think about my FC and the idea, how do you keep humidity and warmth in and push CO2 out, because CO2 is heavier than air, it would have to be pushed out...but how do you keep humidity up while youre pushing stale air out? then it hit me
how about you push the CO2 out through the bottom, instead of trying to push it out the top or "mixing" the stale and fresh air together, try circulating fresh air and PUSHING stale air out, since it rests on the bottom, it would have to come out from the bottom...if you put holes everywhere around the FC then wont fresh/humid air be pushed out with the stale air? so i came up with this idea using what i already have and made a super SUPER crude drawing on paint.
put holes only in the bottom of the FC, make a seal in the top so air can only escape from the bottom. put the FC up on 2x4s so air can escape properly, i put plates under it to catch any water (another good thing, you can wet the perlite while its in the FC, water drains out the bottom, like a giant strainer)....put a 20 ounce bottle with a sandstone in it, put h202 water inside, fresh air is pushed up out of the bottle, hits the top or drops, pushes stale air on the bottom out the bottom...make sense? the humid and warm air is on the top, pushing it over the cakes and out the bottom could only benifit the situation.
i dont know about how much air would be needed but i have a 71 gph pump in a 66qt FC.
any ideas, criticisms, common sense things i missed lol.

i dont see why it wouldnt work. just try it out. or to simplify things drill small holes allaround the sides of your FC. that will work bout the same.

Co2 may be a little heavier than air but its not heavy the way you think it is, actual air flow will remove it not that contraption though I give you points for having a think about it, I cant go into it to deep because it wont make sense but that will not work.

exactly, if you're pumping that much air through that little space, it's not going to matter where the holes are. there'll be so much air circulation. to expand on tripchip, your best bet is very slight positive pressure. so like a shotgun fc that has a pump that brings air in from outside and forces the stale air out. It doesn't even need to be a very powerful fan, you just need consistent, positive pressure.

They will fruit with 0 FAE invitro, if you want to make a good point do 2 FC's one normal and one your system and show us the difference between both, get 2 co2 o2 ppm readers and then stick one in each and let me know what they read

I don't really know enough to hypothesize on how well/if it would work, but I can offer some advice as to testing your theory:
Maybe get one of those trace level C02 analyzers or something... (Some kind of device that tells you what gases exactly make up the ambient atmosphere...) It seems it would be hard to test it any other way because the variability of two different trays of shrooms is great enough that it would be hard to get a reliable and reproducible control group- even if you started with an isolated strain, or so thats what I've been told.
I would test the air at different levels of altitude within your FC to determine if your device is working, because as far as I know gases are more intermixing than liquids, like oil and water, for example, which make two distinct layers, whereas I would imagine the air coming from the bottle would create swirling-like intrusions into the CO2 layer, unless you could somehow make the air exude evenly all over the FC from some kind of manifold or something... Unless you used some kind of smoke/windtunnel-like system like they use to visualize the air for aerodynamics experiments, you obviously wouldn't be able to see the border-level of the air/CO2 layers...
Or, maybe just have like 20 FCs, 10 regular, 10 w/your method, and then get the average yield of each to see which performed better... It seems like those would be the only two ways to test your theory because of the control-group issue.

Interesting, I wonder what the readings would be with that system? I can only see actual cubensis in his pics but in his drawings it said pans........
