Lobster Mushrooms....
    #9023510 - 10/03/08 12:49 PM (2 months, 10 hours ago)

Here are some pictures of some Lobster Mushrooms that one of my friends found...
while working up in the Cedar River Watershed at Chester Morse Lake.
Which is one of the main reservoir's for drinking water for the City of Seattle.
And it is highly protected and is not open to the public.
In fact they have signs that trespassers will be shot!~

I thought you Hunters might like to see these.

I was given about 5 pounds of these...

and they tasted pretty damn good with a Steak!~

Cool Pics!  I gave up my last finds to my son for his birthday.
Getting some major rain today in the Pacific Northwest.  Good time for hunting.

No. I don't like to see them. I'd like to have them  That's a great gift of your friend, if only for the risks he has taken to get it for you

It was a very nice gift!~

What risk?

They won't shoot him...
he works for the water shed so he is allowed up in there.

But...
he could get fired(lose his job) for picking mushrooms...
possibly.

Ah well, in that case, he's got the perfect opportunity to look around a bit then. I actually envy his job if it involves being in a place like that!
