 Just did salvia 80x (first time)

Hey guys,
So I just tried Salvia divinorum 80x.
The trip happened last night and conspired something like this:
I took a hit of it and felt like I should take another. When I did, the first hit starting to kick in. I felt like I was being flipped through a book and that only I could stop each page from turning. I dont remember much of the peak, but during the afterglow, my "trip parters" told me I kept mumbling something about "getting the mail".
My other friend felt like he was riding a bike and just stared into the distance for his trip. My other friend was stoned and didnt feel it as much. He pretty much just lay down on the ground and sweat.
The last friend of our group of four had never tried any drug in his life before. He never had gotten high, he had never gotten drunk, he never took pills; he pretty much just watched from the sidelines up to last night. He decided he was ready to trip, and we thought he could give it a try. He took two hits and then just mumbled about top-hats and canes. After his trip ended, he told us that he now understands why we put money into stuff like this. I guess his trip helped him understand...?
The night was fulfilling and eye-opening. After my trip ended, all I could think about was how I felt like I didnt exist and how I wasnt really a person. Do any of you sometimes trip and think that life isnt happening?... Because even though that doesnt sound fun, you sure get to know yourself better...

Last time I did salvia I thought everyone was dying around me and my friends and girlfriend said I looked scared to death like someone was trying to kill me and then I looked over to my lady and mummbled ILY!! cause I thought she was melting away

15x or 20x is more than enough IMO.

ive only ever tried 20x, i didnt really like it but i guess i never really gave it a chance.
yeah i know what you mean by life not happening, or atleast ive experienced my own version of that. it sure is weird

and yes there is 80x... there's 120x now I hear, although I've never tried it. It'sbeen about a month since I've smoked last. One of those things I do a couple times, and won't for awhile, but then I'll pick it up again. It's intense, makes me sweat a lot, and I often feel a bit uncomfortable during the trip, which is why I don't do it often, but it is an amazing experience, with a lot of potential if used right.

I smoked 80x when my friends and I went to the beach. It made me feel paralyzed and sweat like crazy. My whole body felt like it had pins and needles stuck in it. Only lasted for like 5 minutes. No hallucinations or anything I was kind of disappointed. They did have 120x down there but the prices were outrageous.

I don't know if it is just me, but i kept on hearing all these amazing stories form my friends about salvia that i was encouraged to buy some. The first time nothing visual just a tingling sensation ( like hot needles sinking into cold flesh) and a feeling that i was "one with the house".
After that Ive done it an additional six or so times. Every time i do it as soon as i start to feel it these intense waves of uncomfortability wash over me and the same unpleasant needle pricks all over my skin. I don't know if it's because i phyched myself out the first time, or what. But unfortunately I've never experienced anything to the like of what Ive heard. No intense colors, No seeing anything that wasn't there nothing like that.
The first time i did 80x was when i had been out of weed for a couple months and just needed something, i got a nice high off of it (because i took a small toke) for about 30 minutes or so until i decided to ramp it up a notch. This time i was part of the house and painful acid rain was washing down "our" sides...(I do believe it was raining at the time) and then the 4 people i was with were laughing at me, and for some reason i though they were somehow causing this incredibly horrid feeling. So i started getting very angry, and though on the outside i might of looked confused inside i was burning with rage and wished i could hurt them the same way they were hurting me. None of them knew this at the time they thought i was in my own world, which in a way i was....one where i was torturing them.
Haven't touched the stuff since. A good 6 months ago now. Though i had the chance to do the same vial of 80x this weekend i refused, though no matter how many times i have a bad trip i just seem to want to keep on doing it until i get a good one. I wanted to say yes, at the time i had just took 3 tabs of very weak acid and thought it was going to get better, and not wanting to ruin a "possible" good first time on LSD i refused.(turned out to be bunk)
Now i sit here wishing i could have asked them for a little nugget of blackened nasty goodness. Why would i torture myself with this again? Because something in my being tells me that all psychedelic drugs are awesome and amazing, and if I'm getting a bad trip it was just set or setting or something else along those lines.
I've done 1x 10x 25x 30x 60x and then 80x. I've read that some people are somehow immune or extremely resistant to the psychedelic effects. This may be the case with me.

the idea that you don't really exist is something I read of a lot.
I guess it relates to experiencing consciousness in such a different way on salvia,
after so much extra resonance and fullness in consciousness, returning to the ordinariness brings with it a kind of emptiness,
one is missing the extra layers, dimensions, and dream gels or whatever.
as if something more real were still happenning, yet we have lost contact with it.
after several years familiarity with salvia states of mind, I am aware that the more realness of them is
from the extra realness of each subsequent moment compounding over the previous, so that any moment,
lasting longer than usually, coexists with several,
each one was real for a moment, but continues persisting like vibrant living shells while enriching subsequent moments (layers, pages, etc.)
the feedback of this compounding of moments can be enormously impressive.

I still don't get this whole 80x 120x BS! Absolutely absurd! If there is any way to speed up fed scheduling thats the way. Seriously, I have smoked Salvia hundreds of times.... and do all my own extractions. I have a half ounce of 15x and it is MORE than strong enough to throw you over the deep end. Thats a lifetime supply if you ask me.
Salvia requires a strong mind, willingness to focus, and perfect set and setting. I think alone in the dark with headphones is perfect. But to each their own. In any regard, its no surprise that 120x will result is less than desirable effects (needles/pins)  .
Give this a try 10-15x... smoke until you can smoke it any more. Inhale for 5-10 seconds each time and finish i fat pipe off. We're talking 5-10 hits. I find Salvia space to last longer this way (20 minutes or more), actually have trip with visuals, highs and lows, and a pleasant afterglow for an hour at least. Quality no quantity...

I've had some pretty bad experiences with salvia, (my post from a few days ago is here.)
I don't think that I will be investing in any more of this devilish plant. It was quite possibly one of the scariest moments of my life. LSD and Mushrooms have never delt me wrong, even in my not so strong trips, like Salvia has.

I enjoy dosing on salvia on the very rare occasion. I'm not sure i would call salvia a psychedelic. It's almost more like a dissociative, or dilerient. Anyways i do not see the point in going past 20x either? I take 4-5 hits off of 20x and get full blown visuals, a since of disconection, and most of the time i go into my own little world and my friends have to keep me from doing something stupid.

Lol. I ordered some 20x the other day from BBB, and let my cousin try it for the first time, as he has been hounding me about it for a while. I load it up for him, he takes the hit and lays back in the floor, face covered in sweat(as is with any salvia trip), and his eyes rolled back in his head. He begins pushing the computer chair under the desk and saying "NO", "NO". After about 10 minutes of trip(if even that) and 20 of afterglow effects, he came too to tell me that he was in a banana costume, on a school bus somewhere in Arizona. I could not help but laugh my ass off. I explained to him that it is like a zen meditation in hell as a hurricane blows and a tornado siren wails, but I dont think you can really explain the intensity with which it hits, without actually experiencing it. Funny thing is, I can barely get the body buzz effect off anything less than 30x. It has been my finding, that 6 out of 9 people respond to salvia and have psychoactive experiences, while three do not, that is in lower doses such as 5,10,20x.

Well i always wait a good amount of time between trips. Is it possible that you build a tolerance to salvia? I always kinda assumed you did. Does anyone know how long it takes to come down, or any specifics on salvia tolerance?

Actually, in antithesis to that theory; no. The first time that I had salvia it was 10x. It did not do a thing to me, and I am serious when I say that I smoked nearly .5 g. The higher doses, work just fine. It is the same with those 6 out of 9. We literally took 9 people in the room, and found that 3 did not respond. Whenever I did it my first time, I started off with a small pinch, that didnt work--so I went on to .5 g. Salvia is one of those things that if you have to ask someone if it is kicking in, it is not working.
Don't get me wrong, I got the sweats and a slight delaying effect of my vision, but I did not go off into my own little world until I started with 30x and above.

A week or two difference should be alright for each experience. but There is defiantly a tolerance from what I have noticed to answer your question.

I think it is more along the lines of neurochemical predisposition and response to a substance as opposed to an actual tolerance. I would have to take it into my lab and go through an extensive research process, which would probably take years; and I barely have time to finish out what research I have on my plate at the moment, before my grant periods run out and my findings are due. If I dont find some new break-through in NMDA receptor pharmacology within the next year, I will be back in a basement lab setting, lol.
