Thanks Koraks!  I am aware that the "buzz" is different from the Cubes due to its chemical nature and that is the only reason I was a curios about these amanitas. (that and there awesome color makes me want to gobble them up!)  I appreciate your input.  I had just got back from a Fungus Festival and had these ID'ed by the Poisen Amanita Expert.  He claims they are Amanita V. Crenulata and told a story of a bum found sleeping on the rail road tracks with a pocket full of these guys.  When they attempted to take him to the hospital he went Berserk and the hospital crew had to tie him down because he was loosing it and trying to kill people!  Poisen Expert Man had said after a few days he recovered and they tossed him back out on the street.    And at the fair all I had seen was tons of these Amanita Crenulata.  But the ones at the fair were a more off white than the guys I had which were a more grayish color. Any second opinions?  I am gonna research these Crenulatas and see if it matches.  I think he said Pantharina's do not grow by us.
