 whole wheat flour instead of brown rice flour?

I could not find brown rice flour but I bought a 5lb bag of whole wheat flour. will that do for the PF tek in substitute for brown rice? If you guys say no, ill have no choice but look harder for brown rice flour. I heard that you can use whole wheat or rye with almost as good results?

Go with the whole wheat flour. BRF is more nutritious, but you won't fail because you can't get it.

ah thanks so much for the quick response. I actually have whole brown rice but no coffee grinder and Kmart dont carry them either  so what loss will I experence? slower cultivation? smaller fruitings? less shrooms?

Deff a slower colonize time. From 5-6 days to 1-2 weeks.
As for fruits, I will tell ya in a week or 2. =)

I tried whole wheat flour once, and I got really small shrooms. Tiny..with heaps of abhorts.
I can't lay the blame entirely on the whole wheat flour, but it looked really suspicious.
