I met her off this interenet dating website and then met her in person that day. She says she does not like my hair though. I have shoulder length hair. She said she only likes very short hair. Such as a crew cut or a very close shaved head. I say I need time to think this over. Not 100% relevent to your situation, but I'll just throw this out there: I've had long hair (shoulderlength-ish or longer) for several years. This summer, I just got tired of it hanging in my face all the time, plus it makes the summer months that much hotter and more uncomfortable. So I went and got it trimmed down (1.5 inches on the top, 3/4 inch on the sides, run a little gel through the top part) and now I look pretty dang sharp. Plus, people don't always get druggie/hippie as their first impression when seeing me. So cutting my hair was actually a pretty good move.
If you decide to cut yours, don't do it for her. Her suggestion may be the thing that made you consider cutting it, but actually deciding to cut it is a decision you should make for yourself.

ive had long hair for the last 15yrs and probably wouldnt cut it off again. ive cut it off twice. im to lazy for short hair. that said, i still think its worth you cutting it off for some pussy. if you dig the chick and could see things progressing, it would be worth it. she would have to put out first otherwise.
