mild case of herpes??

About a month ago, I had sex with an older lady without a condom. It was drunk and stupid decision. I've been paying close attention to my penis and scrotum for herpes. I'm not sure if I'm seeing unusual bumps on the shaft of my penis. I know I've always had bumps on my shaft, but am uncertain when I last checked up on my boys in that way. The pics I find on the internet are all very old. These bumps are not red or appear red around them. Do herpes bumps cause rings? Can I get blood tested for this? I may be over thinking it and believing that maybe I do have herpes.

go to the doctor and get tested for christ sake, it's something you should do on a regular basis anyways, if you're sexually active outside of a monogamous relationship. It sounds like you're overreacting, but you really should get tested no matter what.

i know what they are. that doesnt change the fact that many of the infected never show symptoms.

HPV testing
An HPV test detects certain types of human papillomavirus (HPVs), depending on the test. A method for detecting the DNA of high-risk HPVs has recently been added to the range of clinical options for cervical cancer screening. In March 2003, the US FDA approved a "hybrid-capture" test, marketed by Digene, as a primary screening tool for detecting high-risk HPV infections that may lead to cervical cancer. This test was also approved for use as an adjunct to Pap testing, and may be ordered in response to abnormal Pap smear results.
When patients are screened with both HPV testing and Pap testing the sensitivity reaches 100%. HPV testing can diagnose CIN 2-3 among women older than 30 years.[33] The sensitivity of HPV testing alone was 94.6% and specificity was 94.1%. For patients at similar risk to those in this study (0.4% had CIN 2-3), this leads to a positive predictive value of 6.0% and negative predictive value of 100.0% (click here to adjust these results for patients at higher or lower risk of CIN 2-3).
The CDC states on its "STD Facts-HPV Vaccine" page that "An HPV test or a Pap test can tell that a woman may have HPV, but these tests cannot tell the specific HPV type(s) that a woman has."
In Australia, a self-sampling HPV DNA test - that women can do at home using an ordinary tampon - is being marketed by Tam Pap. It has been approved by the Therapeutic Goods Administration for distribution in Australia.[citation needed]

Yes, you can test for HPV in women, but there's no test for men.

Thanks for replying all! I definitely don't think I have anything. I checked out some pics of genital warts and definitely don't have that! yikes! Really, I believe the bumps on my shaft have been there many many years before I started engaging in sexual activities.

Sebaceous glands are found wherever hairs are found. They produce a white oily substance called sebum, and if squeezed this material can be pushed out. Sebaceous cysts, which may occur anywhere, are cysts caused by a blockage of the sebaceous gland forcing the sebum to build up into a cyst instead of being released normally on the the surface of the skin. In most areas of the skin, the sebaceous glands cannot be seen, because the skin itself is thick, but on the penis, where the skin is thin and fine, the sebaceous glands may be very prominent. It is these glands that form the small bumps. For some reason, when the hairs produced by the hair follicles are fine and invisible, the sebaceous glands connected to the follicle are often large. Therefore, someone looking at the skin of the penis may not see the almost invisible hair, but will notice the prominent bump of the sebaceous gland. Stretching the skin on the penis will make these glands stand out even more.
