 Vision Trip

Something very odd happened on my trip last night.... I Took 4.3 grams (then about 1.5 grams more after I started being affected) of dried shrooms and my brother took about the same amount from the same stash of shrooms...
I was completely gone, obliterated.
I was rolling around on the ground and shit having an awesome/insane mental journey.... but my brother... who consumed the same amount... didn't experience any sort of high whatsoever....
he asked his buddy from Colorado online, and he mentioned something about our tribe of Native American (We're 1/5th cherokee, my grandmother was 1/3rd and her great grandmother was full blooded native)... I never heard of this before and can't find anything about it online.... but he said if 'A tribe member is having a vision or a spiritual revelation' while on "lightfoot" or a sacred mushroom experience, that no one else in the tribe will be able to have a vision quest, that the "Gods" wont allow the other tribe members to trip but rather be there to guide and help their brother.
I think it's rather odd that my brother didn't feel anything from the same strain of shrooms, yet I was more mentally gone than i've ever been from consuming the same amount of shrooms.
Any input... ideas? My logical mind is really telling me that it's bullshit, but I can't really explain what happened.

maybe your brother has a high tolerance for mushrooms, does he take them often?

Does he trip on any other psychs often?
Does he take a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (ssri)?
