Grow, grow, grow!
it's an awesome hobby, means we will get more posters in the garden, and you get a sense of achievement when you use your produce

Personally, I wouldn't bother with growing dream root. I bought mine. I would suggest growing kratom, salvia, poppies, henbane, HBWR, MG, Mimosa hostilis & pudica, Caapi, passionflower......
If you ever decide to get into cacti, things get really expensive in a hurry. You've been warned lol.

Mimosa Pudica is also known as sensetivity plant. The leaves fold up when you touch them. Mimosa Hostilis does good indoors under the right light.
I duuno but cacti is my fav to grow. You can find cheap ones or start from seed for cheaper.

Weed huh? I thought it was a tree . Maybe you are thinking of something else.
And I say grow henbane because why not? It is easy to grow. I can't wait to get some Mandrake going personally. I like growing it because growing ethnos/entheos is my hobby, thats why, to answer the question.
Anyway, I suggest finding out what plants are right for your climate and start there. Growing things that are finicky is no way to start it off. Do some research and before you know it, you'll be building shelves to house you collection.

if you want instant gratification and no dissapointment, grow a morning glory. if you kill it...please give up horticulture all together....LOL.
but really, morning glory are by far the easiest plant to grow. or if your a little warmer in temps give rivea a go, far better high and just as easy to grow (just cant take the cold temps that mg can).
there were many other great suggestions as well...Mimosa hostilis is good, but takes a bit to find real seeds, and also requires a lot of room, and time, if root harvest is your aim.
cacti are also easy to grow and find...but like mentioned, it is jsut as addictive as tobacco!!!! actually, tobacco is easy to grow too.....

I don't see how cacti are expensive, or get expensive fast. If you find a reliable group of people to trade seeds/seedlings with or even cuttings you have a good circle and it stays a cheap great hobby.
