hah we call it "chinese lantern" in the uk because of its orange seed pods...

get rid of it before it takes over your entire garden, it is highly invasive... it sends out underground runners and spreads like wildfire...

it's not an unattractive plant, the seed pods give some nice late autumn/early winter colour...
but beacause it is so invasive that pretty much cancels out the benefits...

if you want to keep some put it in a big pot and that should keep it under control...
if not, don't compost it because the tiniest piece of root will produce a new plant...

kill it with fire :onfire:

and good for decorating your house if your into crafts :smile:  we used to use it during halloween cause it had a cool orange colour....like a leper pumpkin.
