Long-term effects of LSD

So, this summer I have tripped on acid about 5 times. The last time I took acid was last Friday, just over a week ago. I have noticed the last few days that I am still seeing some things, every now and then I see something move that is not moving or I will get some tracers and sometimes when I look at broad surfaces, like the sky, I will see colors. I am a little concerned that this is a permanent thing. I have decided that I will not be doing any psychedelics for a long time. Have any of you ever experienced this? Is this going to stop?

Most likely it will. If you're also smoking weed: stop for now.
Also: use the search.

IMO most people experience sensory distortion most of the time (this includes the entire human population, not just people who have tripped). To function in our environment we have learned to filter out the "incorrect" information and focus on the things we perceive that have received third-person verification, ie other people can see them.
Remember that you are not seeing with your eyes, you are perceiving with your mind. What you experience is a product of your consciousness more than it is a product of your senses. You have become more aware of the ways in which your mind works to process, and sometimes distort, sensory information, therefore you are seeing things while sober you have not ordinarily seen.
If this doesn't help, remember it's just vision and what you're seeing can't hurt you. Seriously. It's not a product of any sort of "damage". There's a lot of evidence that LSD does NOT cause brain damage. Just don't worry about it. It won't be there if you choose not to notice it.

Most people who try LSD become homosexual.

Yes, this is HPPD. It's only a problem if you let it become one.

LSD brings this out more than mushrooms ime.
I had about 15 shroom trips under my belt before I had a chance to try acid. But it was only after my first acid trip that I started developing visual disturbances in my daily non-tripping life. I noticed a substantial uptick in their strenghth after a powerful DOC trip too (and the disturbances are the same character as those that occurred during the DOC trip itself.)
My visual disturbances are as follows:
Objects in my peripheral vision will "pop" into existence. I see the little PM envelope on the shroomery as I scroll down, but when I scroll up, I don't have any messages. Textured surfaces melt a little bit.
It doesn't affect my life adversely at all.
