Is it possible to consume hash by dissolving a bit of hash in a hot chocolate?
If so, how do I decide how much to use? Do I use the same amount I would use if smoking? (That would be a very small amount for me given my low tolerance.)

you may not want to use heat though, it could desroy some of the good stuff.

No! Do not use such a large dose.
Use the same amount that you'd normally smoke, or possibly a little less.
I usually get even more effect from the hash if i take it orally, than i do if i smoke it (in my chillum).
I'm talking from experience here; virtually all i smoke is afghan and moroccan hash.

Yes it does (except that some hash has already been heated when getting pressed).
It's the decarboxylation of the THCA (into THC) that causes the potentiation (as far as i remember - I'm a little drunk here).

throw in some whole milk just to make sure it absorbs all the thc. THC is soluble in lipids (fats)

Just an update, I tested a small amount, maybe a third the size of a penny, in a hot chocolate and I got a little high for a few hours. (Again, I have a low tolerance.) I'm traveling through Spain right now, currently in Sevilla. Yesterday, I went to the Alcazar and drank a hot chocolate with an amount 2-3 times bigger than what I had tested before. Pure bliss for about 6 hours, in a perfect location. :-)
