What Religious Beliefs Do You Follow?

People here tend to be wonderfully open minded. I was wondering what religious beleifs do you follow? For myself, I have a hard time picking just one. Therefore, I left it open for you to pick your top three religious beliefs. Let's see which ones are most popular among shroomers.

Wouldn't the term Atheist apply then?

Well, thats tricky... because though atheism is not religion, it is faith. And none implies no faith.
-------------------- Behold yon miserable creature. That Point is a Being like ourselves, but confined to the non-dimensional Gulf. He is himself his own World, his own Universe; of any other than himself he can form no conception; he knows not Length, nor Breadth, nor Height, for he has had no experience of them; he has no cognizance even of the number Two; nor has he a thought of Plurality; for he is himself his One and All, being really Nothing. Yet mark his perfect self-contentment, and hence learn his lesson, that to be self-contented is to be vile and ignorant, and that to aspire is better than to be blindly and impotently happy.

I chose 'other' but I'm not sure if agnosticism is even considered a religion.

I see atheism more factual than believing in god. Christianity is based on faith and only faith. Although, I did not vote for atheism, I used to be one.

From looking at the results, that's an interesting distribution pattern that's forming. In fear of affecting the results, I didn't want to mention this before but the order that the various religions are listed in is also the order of general world popularity. Christianity was listed as the most popular while Satanism was the least popular. The distribution pattern doesn't quite match up with world popularity. Very interesting indeed.

Well, the shroomery certainly isnt a random sampling of the world population.

How very true. The subject matter of mushrooms itself draws a certain group of people as it repels others.

The native americans had lots of different religions. They were not and are not culturally homogeneous.

Santero.
-------------------- "All Bibles or sacred codes have been the causes of the following Errors:
1. That Man has two real existing principles: Viz: a Body & a Soul.
2. That Energy, call'd Evil, is alone from the Body; & that Reason, call'd Good, is alone from the Soul.
3. That God will torment Man in Eternity for following his energies.
But the following Contraries are to these are True:
1. Man has no Body distinct from his Soul; for that call'd Body is a portion of the Soul discern'd by the five Senses, the chief inlets of Soul in this age.
2. Energy is the only life, and is from the Body; and Reason is the bound or outward circumference of Energy.
3. Energy is Eternal Delight."
