Yeah, seriously, there's no need to be rude.  I do what feels best for my body.  PERIOD.

Get over it.

Was I rude? I just thought it was funny

You do what you want, I have total support for you.  I was vegetarian for 10 years and got a lot of shit.  I don't mean to give you shit, I'm just laughing cause... well it's weird to me. But obviously not weird to you.

Don't be too sensitive dude!

Thanks man...I probably was being too sensitive.  I'm aware it's a tendency I have.  I'm just so used to commentary from the peanut gallery about my dietary choices.   Don't mean to be defensive.   Glad to know you're cool and YEP, Gonna try and LAUGH AT MYSELF MORE, too.

I know what it's like, I think I woulda reacted like you too, just because I was so used to it.  For 10 years, I experienced how the most normal people turn into ridiculous children when faced with a vegetarian.

Now, I wasn't pushy or anything... I only mentioned my diet when it was relevant, like if people were having a conversation about vegetarianism, or if someone needed to know for a party they are catering, or something.  But I would get the weirdest reactions.

One of the dumbest ones came early on... I was probably about 12 years old and I was at a pizza joint trying to get a slice of veggie. They were all out, but had plenty of pepperoni.  They'd have more veggie in 10 minutes.  I decided to wait, so I sat down.

Then some guy asks me why I don't just get a pepperoni.  I dropped the fuckin bomb - I said I'm vegetarian.  He was fuckin blown away!  And by that I mean, he decided he'd ridicule me for no particular reason, showing me the meat-lovers pizza he was eating and yelling "OH GOD I LOVE EATING DEAD COWS".

That was the real bad experience.  So yea I know where you're coming from.

Later on I got really sick of the crap so I just decided I'd only talk about vegetarianism when strictly necessary; when somebody was going to prepare food that I was supposed to consume, like at a party.  And if somebody asked me why I was vegetarian I'd just tell them I prefer not to argue about it, I have my beliefs and they don't need to share them.  Or I'd say something like, I really really hate vegetables, carrots raped my father, killed my mother, etc.  Yet still, people would insist, and ask why... so sometimes if they were pushy enough I'd tell them.  The conversation always (every time) ended in the person saying "Well, I could never do it."

The best response that I never gave, that I wish I would have, is "To piss you off."

Ugh, people.

But fruitarianism  hahaha.

Hmm.. so I cooked the corn in butter and it still was pretty nasty. Might be that I just got a bad bag or that I'm too used to organic and fresh corn.

It could have been a bad bag. Most of the time if its frozen its uselly better..Unless you can get really fresh local corn.
