Getting started with Lamb, from Christopher Moore, whom PenguarkyTunguin had suggested me a couple months ago, I can already say that Im gonna love the stuff from the couple pages Ive read until now.
And since I was searching for something to read when I went at my parent's place, Ive picked up some Wayne W. Dyer, which is actually greater than I thought. Helped me get into an healthy routine again, since I was getting a bit too hard on partying and sleep deprivation after coming back from my hitchhiking trip into Central America. Gotta work now, if I wanna hit the road again (India).

I want to go to India so badly.
I just cannot get my funds straight for any kind of trip lately.
I'm so bad with money.
But I'd really love to be immersed in that culture. It looks like a great place to visit for a few months.

The Book (on the Taboo Against Knowing Who You Are) by Alan Watts.
Rarely have I come a cross a writing style from which I derive as much joy as that of Alan Watts. The man is a vessel for wisdom and insight into the human experience all delivered with a mirthful, humorous tone.

"What is Life?" by Lynn Margulis and Dorion Sagan. It's an informative look at several different facets of life: the biosphere, bacteria and its evolution, the emergence of multicellularity, etc. The authors go into great detail outlining the history of philosophical, medical, and religious thought on life and its place in the Universe. An interesting read, it is.

New Books This Week:
The Giant Leap : Mankind Heads for the Stars by Adrian Berry. Really excited about this one. Non-fiction describing possible future methods of interstellar travel and the problems associated with them. Read the first few chapters at the library and it sounds exceptionally great.
Underground by Haruki Murakami
Palestine Inside Out : An Everyday History of the Israeli Occupation by Saree Makdisi
Constantinople : A History of the Capital of Byzantium by Jonathan Harris
And some fiction to balance it out...
Pebble in the Sky, the new book by Isaac Asimov
And a couple of Kurt Vonnegut novels, since I was relatively impressed by Breakfast of Champions
Slaughterhouse Five and Cat's Cradle
I had read S5 back in middle school or junior high and really didn't appreciate it. We'll see if I like it any more now. And Cat's Cradle on a trusted friends recommendation.

I'm reading a sort of biography of the times that Ralph Steadman spent with Hunter S. Thompson. I can't remember the name, but it's written by Steadman with a foreword by Vonnegut. It's pretty interesting.

Do you mean the Thompson book The Curse of Lono, which is about him and Steadman, or do you mean Steadman's book The Jokes Over?
Either way, both are good, although Lono gets strange at times.

"Ilium" by Dan Simmons. Anyone familiar with the "Hyperion" series knows what to expect from this: epic far-future science fiction told through spectacular prose and masterful story progression. It's a complex plot, involving post-humans surviving with dinosaurs on Earth, a group of super-intelligent nanobots populating the moons of Jupiter, and resurrected scholars surveying the 'Iliad' at the foot of Mons Olympus on Mars under the instruction of living Gods from Greek mythology. I don't know how they're connected yet either.

Well, I just finished House of Leaves by Mark Z. Danielewski What a fucking good book. I mean, yeah that format was really interesting, but beyond all of that, it was just a damn good novel. It really touched me. I might have to put this in my top 5 favorite books I've ever read.
Watership Down by Richard Adams-I just started it yesterday and I can already tell I'm in good hands. Haha...the whole reason I picked this up is because Stephen King referenced to to it so much in The Stand. I've also seen the cartoon...which was actually pretty dark (and damn good.)
The Inner Reaches of Outer Space-metaphor as myth and as religion by Joseph Campbell. This will be my 2nd Campbell book (the first one was Pathways to Bliss.) He's just one of those souls that I just feel completely in tune with. Look forward to reading this book.
