 syrian rue + cubes results..Ow my head.

So the day has come. Soon we'll be trying out this x10 syrian rue extract. .bout 0.4 or 0.5 grams of it in some hot tea. Then we're lemon tek'ing about 3 or 3.5g of cubes. We've only had 1 or maybe 2 trips in the level 2-3 range and really wanna get out there..like orbiting Neptune ya know?  We're gonna be cautious this first time with rue and only do an 1/8 at most ..but if that doesnt allow me to swim around in the crab nebula then we'll just step it up more next time. I'll report back on how it goes.

I did similar to that 3 weeks ago, my dose of cubes lately has been high at like 6 grams. I decided to do a control to see how the rue intensifies things. I had about 1.8 grams of dried cubes left from last batch and I did that and a chunk of the crude extract I had done from 30 grams of rue seeds. I had comparable mindfuck to 6 grams mushrooms and visuals greater that probably 3.5 grams usually, so I can definately vouch for rue.

If effects of syrian rue + cubes is simply to intensify the cube experience I would just increase the amount of cube I eat because of danger of MAOI and trouble of fast. But if syrian rue could change the quality of trip,I will definitely try it.I have rue and cube at hand but have not tried them yet.

We have liftoff. Feeling a little of the giggles..slightly loopy .about 40 minutes in. I doubt its going to do much. We'll see. We ate an 1/8 and took 0.5g of the x10 extract

Be careful though, i took 2g of Syrian rue in a tea and then ate 2 g of cubes and it was a crazy trip. I would never eat 3.5g of cubes with MAOI.
So all i am trying to say you will probably go to Neptune and beyond.

So the trip was decent off of just 3.5g of cubes and the rue..not a lot of open eye visuals..not even breathing walls but there were some decent closed eye visuals..or more of thoughts I could sort of see..It was a pretty interesting feeling though, I felt like I was floating along in nothingness and there were these awesome electrical rushes through my body. I think there were some pretty cool visions for a second or two but I cant really remember..Thats the other thing, the rue kinda changes it..and in my experience..for the worse.
See I think the rue alters the whole experience. It made it more emotional. I've had plenty of trips and never have I felt like that. There would be these crushing lows of dread, depression and paranoia..After the peak was over we both had these roller coaster like mood swings. We didnt flip out or anything but it sucked. The paranoia was kinda bad..I was just trying to tell myself to relax, you're fucked up and irrational right now..no sirens went off just because you ate a few mushrooms.. It was actually kinda hard not to get up and start chunking all of my cakes in a garbage bag and toss them..So I just made myself lay down on the couch and chill, try and just enjoy the music. But it wasn't all bad..it was mostly enjoyable. We laughed our balls off more then we were in hell.
Oh and the MAOI diet is not to be fucked with. I had a splitting head ache for probably 8 hours the morning after it because I ate a PEANUT butter and jelly sandwich when I came down. I was half out of it and forgot that peanuts are on the list of no-no's Peanuts are bad mmmkay. So I was thinking the diet thing was exaggerated..maybe it is..will you die?? No..will you be miserable for a whole day?? Hell yes.
So IMO the rue is not worth it. Its not as clean and easy on you as a shroom trip should be. Also it definitely amps it up..in intensity and length...There were moments that I really wanted it to end.. We were pretty blown for 6 hours on 3.5 grams..I'm damn glad I didnt do anything stupid like eat 5 freakin grams. Its also not cool in that you have to eat pretty much nothing but white rice and water for the 48 hours surrounding taking rue or you will hate life for many hours. I'm sure many of you have used rue to great effect and had no issues but damn..its not for me. Next time I'll just step up the amount of cubes.

dont give up on rue.
dont use extract next time.
rue trips should be alone, and they can be more visual, uplifting, and energetic.
you were most likely taken by surprise and mentally ass raped.
Next time brew the rue in one pot, and mushrooms in another. then mix and consume. Dont piss around taking the rue an hour before, mix the 2 and it will be better.

Perhaps your ego was simply struggling to hold on, thereby sending you into a crushingly emotional headspace? An eighth of cubes plus syrian rue is a formidable dose, and not to be underestimated.

Sounds pretty awesome to me, havent tried them with rue before.
Shrooms can sometimes be very emotional for me.
I usually get some fear on the come-up.... but , I kinda like it 
Im glad it did something for ya 
Next time try em alone

P.S. to The_Cypher, ya, I am thinking he is a bit hardheaded. just glad it turns out he isnt 20g dry hardheaded
