Liberty Caps made me feel ill
    #8872725 - 09/03/08 05:05 PM (2 months, 30 days ago)

The other day I did magic mushrooms for the first time, I went out and picked some liberty caps myself, I chopped up 10g partially dried (been drying for 8 hours) into warm water and tripped hard. Good hallucinations colours etc and some loss of reality near the end.

However today I picked some more, same mushrooms from the same area, I took 15g really fresh but instead of tripping I just felt hot and uncomfortable for 4 hours. Is it because I didnt dry them enough (i ate them pretty much as soon as i got back).

tolerance possibly, how spaced was your first trip from your second

it could be for a few different reasons...

A.) they weren't liberty caps

B.) it was a mix of liberty caps and some other type(s) of mushroom.  or not even liberty caps at all..

C.) depending on where you picked them from it's possible they could have been hit with some sort of fertilizer, pesticide, herbicide, or fungicide...

you really should be more cautious next, be sure you know without a shadow of a doubt what type of mushroom you're eating.  you don't wanna be like one of those people we keep hearing about in the news section that pick some wild mushrooms and start chowing down, only later to find out that they've eaten death caps.

plus if you ate 15g wet, i think that's only the equivalent of 1.5 grams dried... which we be a really mild trip and especially more so because you probably have a bit of tolerance built up since you just tripped the other day.

The thing is I was more selective the second time, I'm almost sure they were liberty caps, my friend has just taken what I didn't use earlier and says he is getting effects from them. I got them from the same area of the field as last time so I don't think its fertiliser or anything.
