 Grateful Dead reunion

First off, the Grateful Dead are getting back together to play a benefit for Obama.
But I heard on the radio this morning that the band will be getting back together for another tour in the spring.
I just looked on the Grateful Deads website and saw nothing mentioned about it but WPLR in New Haven Ct put it out this morning.
I cannot confirm this but I can only hope and pray that they are right.
This would be fantastic news for dead heads all over the world.

I truly hope they are doing another tour.
I will be at at least one of the shows, and many more if possible.

That is just wrong, thats part of the reason that the scene got so messed up before Jerry died.
People were going there for the drugs and not the music.
I dont like people who only go for the drugs.

The fact that you don't like the music has no bearing on me saying that.
The fact that too many people go to the shows and buy drugs and leave. That makes the ones who go for the music first and the drugs second look bad. We already have enough suspicion in the eyes of the law.
Now suppose that you go and pick up drugs and leave and for some reason you get pulled over and busted (hopefully that doesn't happen), Now they figure out you were coming from the show. Now they send out more cops to the venue and start looking around at the rest of the crowd even more.
Even if none of this happens, its still wrong in my eyes.
I have been a dead head for well over 25 years and saw my first show at 16. I was around the scene before MTV's Day of the Dead (a documentary on the grateful dead parking lot and drug scene) and saw what happened to the scene after that horrible program.
It blew up with all kinds of people who had no interest in the music, only the drugs. That brought with it, a shit load of cops, both uniformed and undercover, and with that, alot of good people got busted.
The whole scene changed after that. What was once a beautiful, peace loving crowd, soon became a paradise for drunken frat boys in search of good LSD and thinking that they are supermen and taking a shit load of hits and freaking out or just acting like total assholes and ruining other peoples good times.
And if you know anything about the last tour the band played, you would know that it just went all to hell, people rioting at a fucking Grateful Dead concert man. WTF?
This is what makes me mad about you going there just to score some good L.
Find someone who is already going for the music and have them get you some hits.
