anyone have any good books to suggest? I want a couple.. I'm a fast reader so i like a couple to keep me busy for a while. I have this one I'm starting called Lolita by Vladimir Nabokov. It's known as the most excellent example of 20th century controversial literature, due to it's theme of old men chasing after a 12 year old girl. haha. but enough about that, any good suggestionS?

Lolita is a great book.
You should check out the "Books I'm Currently Reading" thread.
You can get tons of good ideas there.
What are you interested in reading?

Im really into interesting non-fiction books... or anything with a good story. I'm pretty open minded, i just don't like most scifi or romance. I'm not even sure, just something interesting.

Ever read "A Short History of Nearly Everything" by Bill Bryson?
Or anything by Jared Diamond?
My tastes run mostly towards non-fiction as well, but I'm heavily into history and science.

Short History is really very good.
And Diamond's most well-known book is Guns, Germs, and Steel, which won the Pulitzer Prize and is probably one the better books published in the last 100 years.

Funny you should mention this. I just picked this book up at a bookstore a few weeks ago. Been sitting on my shelves waiting to be opened.

Collapse is very good as well. My copy seems to be missing, I must have loaned it out to someone and they didn't give it back.
I hate loaning out books.

It's been sitting on my shelf, borrowed from a friend, for a long time. I'm never in the mood to dive in.

If you're into controversial 20th century literature, don't skip over Louis-Ferdinand Celine. I'd start with Journey to the End of the Night.

Lolita was quite an excellent book in my opinion.
Check out anything by Chuck Palahniuk (but his earlier stuff is the best.) A truly superb blend of nihilism with counter-culture tidbits strewn in for good measure.
