Castlevania: Symphony of the Night for PSX
    #8862356 - 09/01/08 09:01 PM (4 years, 9 months ago)

So this was one of my favorite games of all time and I've been dying to play it again lately. The one store near me with a used copy is selling it for $180! I could get one off eBay but it'd be like $50 after shipping. So going out on a limb here but does anyone possess this game, and, possessing it, are they willing to lend it to me? Think of it like a rental and we can talk about something I could trade back to you. I'll take damn good care of it, won't scratch it a bit. Anyway, this is worth a try!

Sorry I don't have it, but if you have a PSP then Dracula X Chronicles includes the entire game as an unlockable extra.

Yeah I read about that in the Wiki article for the game...I DO want a PSP and I guess that's another good reason to get one...but that'd lead to me spending more money on other games!

If you've owned it before..I think its legal to download a ROM iso and a PSX emulator like bleem or whatever it was called. I played it on the PC using an emulator like 2 years ago and it was great.

Yeah That by far was the best castlevania game ever made, and I still play it to this day.All you have to do is download it,and play with epsxe.I have it burned, and if you have a mod chip, you could play it on your playstation console.I doubt anyone actually has a actual real copy of the game, and if they did they would charge you a fortune

A gift from my uncle. He's a rabid gamer and has been since the early Ataris. SOTN is his favorite game of all time. When it came out, he finished it in a day and knew it was gonna be a classic. He went out and bought a SHITLOAD of originals, even ordering some Japanese versions, the Sega Saturn versions, etc. He ended up making a huge profit.

Damn,I wonder how much an unopened copy would go for now days,oh,and I found it for $40 bucks on ebay, with wild arms and a memory card. It's actually worth less than I thought. The other best Castlevania of all time is Dracula X for the pc engine, and If any body is interested I have a registered version of the magic engine emulator to play it on,and I could send it through e-mail,or something.

if you do get a psp, you can put a custom firmware on it, download the image, and play it on your psp directly, without having to 'unlock' it in another game or anything...i actually have a copy ready to go for a hacked psp if you get ahold of one...let me know, i can get it to you somehow

peace

I had no clue that this game was so rare. I have two copies   :whistling:.

It's still the best in the series.

i couldnt have gotten it for more then 35 which is a ripoff but considering the game its kinda cool to play on the big tv, the gameboy ones are sick too, circle of the moon for the advance isnt long either, but its pretty balanced compared to the other ones, you can get a gameboy player for the cube and play with the controller, i wish i had time to revisist this stuff:thumbup:

Yea, I have a mint copy of it as well but it's opened.  Fucking amazing game dude!  I used to work at FuncoLand when I was in High School (before gamestop bought them) and trade-ins were still relatively new.  The company wasn't strict at all and after working there a while I knew what games were rare and which weren't (this is 1999).  I would offer people cash for their game instead of credit if it was something I wanted, and my manager was in on it so he didn't give a shit.  I have two really good copies of Dragonball GT too, an unopened Turbografx Express too

I'll be buried with my old video game collection too.  Stopped with consoles at PS2 but have been considering them again since they're all online now and that was what drew me to PC's.  I remember the first time I played NES it was 10 yard fight. :puke:
