Packaged Cut Corn
    #8849482 - 08/29/08 08:42 PM (3 months, 4 days ago)

So I bought some frozen cut corn to put in soup but this stuff turned out to taste like rubbery shit. Is there anyway I can use this stuff and make it taste ok?

I'm a student so throwing food out isn't really a good option.

fry it in a pan with butter until crispy.

Never had that problem with packaged corn.  Maybe you're cooking it too long?  Or not long enough :P

But frying with butter sounds awesome

its already blanched before bagging, no cooking necessary. not to mention you can eat corn raw, and when fresh off of the stalk, it is de-fucking-licious raw.

I LOVE raw corn!  It's a fruit that eats like a vegetable.

We're both right.

I'm a fruitarian right now, and eat it because the plant flowers to produce it.  I love eating fruit because they come from flowers first.

I have some questions that I believe would break the forum rules, so I'm going to start a thread in P&MWB to talk about fruitarianism, I hope you don't mind being put on the spot.
