Cool shroom, the only thing I can come up with is Cortinarius puniceus/sanguineus

That explains two absences I've been wondering about.
This mushroom is more than likely Cortinarius sanguineus.

You should ask Clive at hiddenforest about it, I bet he knows what it is. Probably some kind of Dermocybe. Most of them are relatively rare and are highly sought after by people who dye things with mushrooms. Its likely to work well as ink for painting when fresh.

Cortinarius sanguineus is a type of Dermocybe.
