 NC deputies investigating large marijuana package [WILMINGTON, N.C.]

Investigators are trying to find out who sent a 37-pound package of marijuana that was intercepted over the weekend at a Wilmington area mailing service.
The package had no return address or shipping label. Capt. David Ciamillo of the New Hanover County Sheriff's Office said investigators don't know where it was being sent, the Wilmington Star-News reported Wednesday.
Ciamillo said investigators suspect the drugs came from Mexico and were shipped from Texas. He declined to say where the package was found but said it had a street value of more than $80,000.
He said his office has increased efforts to find drugs that are shipped by mail and investigators have charged numerous people in drug cases after intercepting packages.
"We've definitely stepped up our efforts to intercept and investigate these packages," Ciamillo said.
