 Is there a way to be automatically notified whenever a new reply to a thread pops up?

Essentially, is there any application that can reside in my system tray a la Gmail Notifier and send up a notification whenever a thread that I've replied to already gets replied to again?
(So I don't sit here and keep obsessively clicking the Threads link?)

Yes and its been there for a few years.
Subscribe / Unsubscribe from receiving forum posts by email, change message notifications, etc.

Do you want replies to your posts emailed to you?
No Yes
Also if you have firefox and gmail install this plugin, https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1320 and set it to check every 1 minute. it will notify you when you have new email with a bottom left popup... so you dont even have to be on shroomery to know when you have replies.

Well, that works, but isn't quite what I was looking for. I don't really want my email inbox getting inundated with email after email following every reply to a thread. Hmm, maybe something with an RSS feed might work?

you should setup a second gmail they are free, and it can be for shroomery only
But an RSS feed of replies only would be useful

Okay, per your request I added a RSS feed for the 'My Threads' list, just visit http://www.shroomery.org/forums/postlist.php/Board/myposts and subscribe with the RSS icon in your browser.
