AGAR for Shiitake.

I only have 1 dried Shiitake mushroom left and wanted to awaken it on AGAR.

What is the best medium for this? MEA or PDA

Is Shiitake viable for new growth after being dried?

I prefer antibiotic MEA for reviving dry tissue. I haven't tried it yet on shiitake.

1 other question:

What type of mushrooms would be commonly used in an Italian restaurants "Wild Mushroom Stuffed Ravioli"?

It's very good.

The mushrooms caps are about 2 inch's. They appear to be a light gray color and a very "Mushroom Earthy" tasting.
