 This Morning's Hunt: Species? *Pics*

I went at the break of dawn in my pasture in Plant City, FL. I think the bottom ones are cubes, am I right? Those two look pretty damn blue to me. The others are a species are not sure and am trying to find the name of them. I know their safe to eat cause they have a black spore print and are active because they are obviously bluing extremely. Thanks for the comments [^ ^]

Just a note, the one above the left cubie is not like the ones in the big pile. forgot to throw it away. The one in the upper left hand corner is what the main pile is.

no liberty caps in there.
OP: read the forum rules on id requests, you haven't provided any of the required information.
give us your rough location, this will help with identification...
i'd like to say that the big ones are cubensis but the pic is not clear enough to tell, we need habitat info, spore print colour etc to id...
from those pics i can't even tell if it is blueing or green on the caps of the big ones... if it is blueing then cubensis is likely, if it is green they are likely to be poisonous.
do not eat any of those yet.

My apologies. I found these in a very large plot of cow pasture in Plant City, (Central Florida), they were growing out of tall patches of grass from old manure. Spore print color is black on both. And they are definitly bluing. they were not that color when I picked em and in about 10 mintues they are the color shown, and from my perspective it is a dark blue.

sounds like cubes to me. Did they have the remnants of a gill covering around the stem?
btw cube spores are supposed to be a dark purple, might want to check that again. Try putting them on aluminum foil, sometimes you can see the purple tinge a little better that way.

I honestly can't say if it had a gill or not, it is possible it was already worn off by the time i got to them. Also yeah at second glance they look a very dark purple-black. lol was in bad lighting and haven't slept all night so I'm a little off right now.

apart from the black spore print sounds ok to me, i'm always over cautious when posting in this forum anyway...
can't be too careful in this hobby

Yeah I agree. i have harvested cubies and eaten them from this pasture before so i know they're there and I know what to look for, just double checking, its mainly the little ones I have no idea what they are but they look safe and active but I'd like to know what species.

i would guess panaeolus of some kind, possibly panaeolus (copelandia) cyanescens by the way they are blueing...
difficult to say for sure as they are pretty beaten up, so wait for someone else to confirm that...
also looks like you may have a few imposters in that batch...
