If that black is indeed spores, i would say they look fine. Don't take my word on it tho. Those are some nice fruits btw. I only get mushrooms the size of your smaller ones with GT strain. I think i am going to switch to b+, because alot of people using cakes seem to have better luck than i am with GT's.

This is my first grow, so you must be thinking of someone else. This is second flush on some cakes, first on others, but my first grow. Thanks for responding though :o)

Thanks for the response. I would say that along with B+ supposing to be larger fruits from what I read, water would be a large contributer to why both of my flushes have bared very nice fruits. I dunked and rolled to begin with, then again between flushes. Every time I get a chance, I add a little water to the terrainium and spray the verm on the cakes. Moisture, moisture, moisture is key from what I read and I keep everything nice and wet.

Heh, ime GT always put more weight per fruit than B+ b/c B+ is usually skinny and hollow. B+ does get big though. Good job on those they look tastey except for the spores. I bet the overmatured ones weigh in nicely.

They're just fine! It's not like the spores taste any worse than the fruit. Can anyone actually taste the spores? I can't tell the difference. Just my opinion...

It doesn't seem to me that the color can be 100% caused by spores, as the top layer of shrooms is black, too... Do they smell ok?

Actually, the spores taste much nastier than the fruits. They're harmless unless you breathe in too many of them, but they do taste horrible. The fruits are still OK, but next time, pick a day or two sooner.

Leaving them alone too long just makes them ugly ,it doesn't to any other harm unless you leave them there so long they rot,those look fine,as mentioned they taste bad but feel free to eat up
