Dry cubensis?
    #8725104 - 08/04/08 03:41 PM (15 years, 7 months ago)

I found what seem to be some dried up cubensis in... you guessed it... the horse field down the street. Its been pretty dry the past couple of days (*crosses fingers*) and I stumbled across these two sad looking shrooms. They dont stain blue but I figure its because theyre so dry, Im reasonably sure theyre cubes but I wanted to be positive. actually they did just turn blue a little where I cut the caps off soooo, but tell me what you think anyway.

Cubensis for sure.  Its probably ok that they are a little dry.  Smell them and throw them away if they smell at all like rotten food.

nope they just smell like dried up mushrooms

and I don't think they were out there for long enough to rot... I went by the exact spot yesterday where I found them today and didnt see any then. So I would assume they just came up and dried out in todays hot sun.

By the way, I've had a few out drying on my desk for a day or two, that's ok right?

Nope, impossible.

Courts have ruled that dry mushrooms indicate knowledge of their contents and purposeful drying while fresh do not.

Therefore, its impossible for someone to find dry shrooms, cuz that would contradict the courts' logic that drying must have been done purposefully.

i've found like super dry cubes.  they weren't really recognizable at all so we tossed them, but they were cubes 99.9%.  on a few occasions ive found em like that actually.  horse field finds are always cool tho.  ime if they produce they dont produce much and don't produce all that long so enjoy.

well I'd like to find some in a cow field, and I have one right across the street... but the past couple times I've looked I've had no luck. And the field is right next to a busy road and I don't want to get caught...
